October issue of Blunt magazine focuses on youth
The feature also contains the results of our first ever Youth Survey. The story and the results of the survey do not claim to be comprehensive but at the same time offer an invaluable insight into the collective state of mind of our kids, who mostly seem to be proud to be South African, and largely content, hence the subtitle, 'The kids are alright'. Interesting stats include the fact that 98% of blunt readers have multi-racial social groups, 74% are still virgins (and only one didn't know what a condom was), 34% have a positive attitude towards teachers, and 63% think the future is going to be all right.
Whilst not an omnipresent theme in the issue, other youth-orientated features in this issue include a look at drug abuse from a youth perspective, featured bands include locals Neshamah and Taking Back Sunday from the US, two bands highly popular with local teenagers, a look at how to survive exams and an interview with professional skateboarder Jason Dill, best known outside of skating for his cameo appearances in The Osbournes tv show.
blunt magazine October issue 8.8 will be on sale from October 4.
