It's going to be a swingin' Christmas this year with The Johannesburg Big Band and Swing City!
The Johannesburg Big Band recently recorded a Christmas TV special for M-Net (channel 101 on DStv) - billed to air on Christmas Day at 5.30pm. The show is called M-Net and Friends, and the stars of the show are Swing City - SA's very own "Rat Pack"! Swing City is Loyiso Bala, Nathan Ro and Graeme Watkins, and they will delight audiences with their signature brand of jazz, swing and blues with a distinct modern twist.
The show of course is billed around famous Christmas songs - all arranged for a bespoke 17-piece big band.
There are some special guest appearances - joining Swing City will be Heinz Winkler, Chiano Sky and the gorgeous all-star Shoo-Wop Shop, comprising Tamara Dey, Jamali’s Mariechan and Mikhale Jones. Don’t miss out on seeing this TV special - after all - what is Christmas with out a big band?!
