How South Africa’s conservation efforts can thrive with Indian partnership

Reputed to be the largest and most prestigious advertising awards in the US and one of the global industry's top shows, the ceremony was held earlier this month at the Chelsea Art Museum in New York City. The company was the only South African agency to win gold at the awards.
The client is a Cape Town chain of stores specialising in African style wigs weaves and braids targeted at young, funky black women. The poster campaign, featuring a tear-off element, was launched in malls and at street level in July 2007.
A passionate supporter of African fashion, Jonathan Walt, founder of Jabula Wigs & Wefts, said the posters were very successful and his company received a significant increase in new clients. He also said he was impressed with how well the innovative campaign had succeeded on a tight budget.
Creative Director, Conn Bertish, Annelie Van Niekerk and Andrew Bloom created the campaign.
