New 3D range of motion technology
Therapists and other medical professionals can now accurately measure range of motion (ROM) in patients using new locally developed technology.
The 3D Joint ROM technology uses Bluetooth sensors attached to the body to stream real-time to an iPad, allowing for accurate measurement of movement across a variety of joints.
“We are currently rolling out the technology to a select group of medical practitioners in South Africa. As a business, we believe in collaboration with the end-users and will be working with our partners to develop and enhance the offering during this roll-out phase,” says Marc Ashton, executive director of Dynamic Body Technology, the company that developed the technology in conjunction with Shemesh Health Solutions.
