Has SABC's Kwele helped 'Cooke' up OTT rental deal?
NEWSWATCH: Only months ago the national broadcaster had its hands out for a handout, but now it appears that their head of Project 2010, Peter Kwele, could have facilitated a deal to pay World Travel Awards, whose president is Graham Cooke, an exorbitant rent for some studio space during the World Cup, reports Mail & Guardian. Meanwhile, not playing adverts during their shows seems to be costing Jozi FM DJs dearly, reports IOL.

- Mail & Guardian: SABC's R26-m rental bill… It seems that sub-letting could well be very profitable… If the figures quoted in the news report are correct, the SABC could end up paying something like 24 times the going rate - or more - to rent studio space during the event.
- IOL: No play, no pay for errant DJs… Jozi FM bosses say they warned DJs what could happen, but the DJs apparently wouldn't listen…
