This year's top performing categories include the Multiple Media/Integrated media category - campaigns that integrate any three or more mediums across the traditional or digital media space - and the website category; a clear indication of the growing importance of websites in consumer marketing, product comparison and decision-making.
"We may be heading out of the recession and one of the toughest times in our country's economic history, but it has not changed the intensive and increased focus on bottom line deliverables demanded by brand owners. In fact it's created a whole new mindset as to how businesses are approaching their marketing strategies The result has been an exciting focus on direct marketing as a scientifically measurable marketing practice," says Brian Mdluli, CEO of the Direct Marketing Association of South Africa.
For the fourth consecutive year, the presenting sponsor is the South African Post Office and Standard Bank is the sponsor of the Young Direct Marketer category. Other category sponsors are MTN, Computer Facilities, Services SETA, Nedbank, Absa and the DMA.
