Still time to enter Young Creatives Award

To be eligible to enter the Young Creatives Award, entrants must be turning 27 years of age or younger in 2012 and will be required to submit a portfolio of work from the past three years. There is no entry fee.

Two recipients will be selected for this award and will receive a Gold Loerie at the black-tie awards ceremonies, which will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre during Creative Week (15-23 September). The winners will also receive a trip to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, courtesy of Adams & Adams.

"We are delighted to continue to grow our affiliation with the Loeries in 2012," says Mariette du Plessis, partner at Adams & Adams. "The Young Creatives Award gives us the opportunity to seek out exceptional talent across all disciplines in the creative industry. We found the interaction with last year's winners, Sophia Strydom and Kenneth van Reenen, very rewarding and it is clear that this award provides a springboard for recognition and career development."

As a part of its commitment to nurture and promote upcoming creative talent, the company commissioned Young Creatives Award winner (2010), Mbuso Ndlovu, to design its advertisement for the November issue of the Loerie's Migrate magazine. Its website also features articles relating to the 2010 and 2011 winners and their work. The law firm has held student lectures at the AAA School of Advertising and intends to extend the workshops to other advertising schools this year.
