Great clients, great creativity: 2026 is Joe Public’s best Loeries year yet

The three Grand Prix wins came for Independent Media’s “Period Paper” in Print, Sunlight’s “Spinning Thing” in Radio, and South African Breweries’ “African Time” in Film. Joe Public also collected Gold, Silver and Bronze Loeries, along with Campaign and Craft honours, across Radio, Film, Out-of-Home, Integrated, Media Innovation, PR and Media, B2B, Social Impact and Effective Creativity. The work was created with clients including Nedbank, Chicken Licken, Takealot, Uber and Amnesty International South Africa. Each began as a real business challenge, and each was built to help a brand grow.
That is why Joe Public enters the Loeries, Africa and the Middle East’s premier awards for brand communication. The awards offer a chance to benchmark the work against the best in the industry, to celebrate the people behind it, and to show the value creativity brings to the brands it serves.
Joe Public chief creative officer, Xolisa Dyeshana says the recognition belongs to the clients as much as to the agency.
“Awards are a nice reminder, but the real work happens long before the trophies: in the briefs, the late nights and the brave decisions our clients make with us. Every one of these wins started with a client who was willing to back a bold idea. We’re grateful for that trust, and we’ll keep earning it.”
The agency also thanked its strategists, creatives, designers, producers and account teams, as well as its production and media partners, whose talent and commitment brought these ideas to life.
Joe Public’s purpose is to use creativity to grow people, clients, the country and, ultimately, the world. As the agency puts it: we do not create great work for our clients; we create great work with them. Joe Public is proud to contribute to the creative excellence of South Africa and the wider region, in partnership with the clients who make the work possible.
