Joe Public wins inaugural Effie Awards Agency of the Year

The Effies are all about results, and this year’s awards brought some great results for Joe Public.
The agency won its first-ever Gold Effie for the UberEats Own the Hours Others Abandoned campaign in the Delivery Services category. The same campaign also took Silver in Marketing Disruptors. Castle Milk Stout’s The Revealing Pour won Silver in Media Innovation and Bronze in Small Budgets. Chicken Licken’s Boneless Bits of Soul earned Silver, while Flying Fish’s Out of Your Home and Takealot’s Clicka Feela each won Bronze.
“Creative work is more effective than conventional work in theory, but theory alone is not enough,” says Joe Public Group chief strategic officer, Laurent Marty. “The Effies give us the evidence. When creativity works, it is far more than an artistic achievement. It is a powerful driver of business growth.”
Seven Effie Awards across five clients, in a variety of industries and categories, is a marked improvement in Joe Public’s annual Effie performance and proof of the growth of each business under the agency’s tenure. They also align with Joe Public’s belief in 'growth through creativity', which shows how great advertising goes beyond making an impression – it drives meaningful results, solves business challenges and creates meaningful impact. And they’re a chance to celebrate the talent behind all the work.
