More than 250 senior executives from 100 leading newspaper companies in Europe, the United States and Asia have participated in the Leaders Program since its inception in 2000, obtaining a diploma recognised by the industry and based on executive MBA criteria. The goal of the programme is to prepare mid-level managers in editorial, advertising, marketing, production, finance and electronic media to move up to senior management positions.
Internationally known faculty members from business schools around the world teach in the program. They include:
Leaders 2011 provides a combination of high academic level and specific industry knowledge designed to increase management competences. Participants work on specific, practical projects from their companies during the course; a lot of innovation around the newspaper industry originated during the Leaders program.
Participants will attend three thematic sessions, spread over 5 months:
Module I: Business Environment and Strategy, 26 - 29 September 2011 Module II: Business System Design, 21 - 24 November 2011 Module III: Change Management and Industry Issues, 22 - 26 January 2012
