Looking to the future with customer insights...

Content marketing remains in the spotlight this week, with the conclusion of our Special Focus on Content Marketing. Click through to the special section for a reminder of Louise Marsland's interviews with a number of trendsetters in the field and look out for our PDF compilation later this week. Today we feature her insight into the new content marketing trend of brand newsrooms.

Sticking to the topic of industry developments, I also provide feedback on CEM for the tech-enabled African future, as discussed in the opening keynote of last week's Content Engagement Management Africa Summit. Michal Wronski concurs that the future of media monitoring is brand intelligence, especially as today's clients want on-demand digital availability of their coverage.

Adding to this jam-packed issue, Beverley Klein sat down with Johanna McDowell of the IAS to find out just how it brings marketers together, and I chatted to Anita Dama, winner of the 2013 Loeries Creative Future Scholarship to learn how it's given her a firm footing on her path to a creative career.
