This innovation turns cultural experiences into opportunities for generosity, with the ultimate goal of clothing more people in need with dignity.

Behind this new initiative is the intent to build on the extraordinary legacy of The Street Store, broadening its reach by encouraging thousands
more people across South Africa to open their hearts and closets to those in need, while inspiring them to initiate their own Street Store Pop-Ups, to continue the growth of this global movement- for-good.

NarrowBi

NarowBi, founded by Vuyo McGlad, is a Johannesburg-based creative brand and cultural curator, blending art, music, poetry, fashion, and lifestyle markets to create exceptional events and activations.

Known for line-ups featuring award-winning musicians and rising talent, Narow-Bi's events sell out within minutes.

The idea behind Clothes for Closure, is to enable those who miss out on tickets to still gain entry by donating their pre-loved clothing at the event.

McGlad explains that the Street Store x NarowBi collaboration is essentially about a culture-driven clothing donation experience that uses
storytelling, influencers, and interactive installations to turn an act of kindness into an emotional narrative about closure, community, and universal generosity.

He says, "NarowBi's partnership with The Street Store adds real meaning to our activations - and we are very proud to be in a position to take the
important work of The Street Store to our audiences.

"Our platform has always been about celebrating culture and community, and now it is also a channel for real impact. Seeing our audiences contribute clothing that will bring dignity to others, shows how creativity can spark generosity.

"We're proud to help carry this movement forward and amplify its reach through the positive energy of NarowBi."

The activations

At Party + Market, The Street Store took pride of place with a mobile rig directing attendees to donation points, turning the dance floors and
artisanal stalls into a hub of generosity.

Clothing collected was distributed by the team behind The Street Store. Donors were invited to leave a voice note or letter with their clothing, creating a personal narrative of closure and community.

The campaign was conceptualised by a talented young team at M+C Saatchi Abel - art director, Thapelo Dikotope and copywriter Ndivhu Ralushai, with support from motion designer, Zanozuko Ledwaba, and introduces a fresh new approach and audience to The Street Store.

Upcoming collaboration

The next NarowBi activation, Kids Love Jazz, takes place on 31 October, continuing the campaign's mission to embed this initiative into
Johannesburg's vibrant cultural calendar.

To attend Kids Love Jazz and donate your pre-loved clothing to The Street Store, get your tickets here and then turn up for an incredible day/evening of live music and community action.

About the Street Store

Founded in 2014 at The Up&Up Group's integrated creative agency M+C Saatchi Abel, The Street Store concept has grown into a global movement with well more than 1,000 stores held in locations worldwide, clothing over one million people across six continents.

Marketing director for The Up&Up Group Deborah Whitlock says, "The Clothes for Closure collaboration seeks to extend the reach of The Street Store by encouraging more people to let go of their pre-loved clothing and to give them a second life by donating them as an entry 'fee' to NarowBi's activations.

"Essentially, you're giving your clothes to someone who needs them far more than you do. It's a poignant reminder that your old fit could be someone else's new favourite.

"Whether tied to memories or simply not being used, garments are given a second life, in turn helping to create a better future for someone who has run out of hope."
