"The previous Loeries Youth Committee focused on informing the youth about what we do. Our goal as the new committee is to drive more inclusivity and invite more young people into the industry."
He says the team is figuring out how to do this, as they want to reach young people who are practicing creativity but are are not in creative schools and high schools. Their search will also not be confined to South Africa but extended throughout Africa.
He also talks about the concern that there are so few young people who are studying to be copywriters. "It is scary... But it is up to us as the leaders of the youth to inspire more people to enter the industry."
