Paying tribute to Alan McLarty Helpful, generous, hard-working, free-spirited, mischievous, hard-partying, humble, brilliant, unassuming, mentor, friend, prankster are just some of the words that have been used to describe the late Alan McLarty, also known as McLarts, who died at the beginning of this month in Lagos, Nigeria of complications caused by cerebral malaria. A South African memorial service will be held later this week, and Bizcommunity.com has also created a tribute page in his honour. We invite all those who knew him to add their own tributes. We extend our condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. Rest in peace Simone Puterman ( @SimoneBiz) Managing editorResponses to this column welcomed in our editor's column archive.
