Local communications consultancy aligns brand with FTI
FD Media and Investor Relations has officially adopted the FTI Consulting brand and will be known in future as FTI Consulting Strategic Communications. The firm's transition to a single, unified global brand means that FTI Consulting is now considered the only management consultancy in the world, which includes a strategic communications division.
Dani Cohen, MD and head of South Africa says, "The integration is good for us and our clients, providing them with access to new skills sets and on-the-ground support across 22 countries. For example, a listed company undergoing a debt restructuring would have access to legal and accounting skills as well the reputation management support required in respect of stakeholders such as investors and the media. We offer critical thinking at the critical time."
"Placed to meet ever changing needs"
Previously known as Beachhead Media and Investor Relations, the consultancy was acquired by FD in 2006 and rebranded to FD Media and Investor Relations. FTI then acquired all of FD's operations around the world and in September this year, the consultancy officially aligned its brand with FTI Consulting. Sue Vey has recently been appointed as MD and head of the consultancy's Johannesburg office.
The consultancy's global CEO from New York, Ed Reilly, attended the South African rebranding celebration. He comments, "The strength of the FD brand has supported the expansion of FTI Consulting across the EMEA region. With the consultancy now well established, it makes sense to create a single, strong brand, offering a range of consultancy services. I believe that we now are placed to meet the ever changing needs of our clients in an integrated manner."
