Vanessa Davidson appointed as SAIMI deputy CEO

Outgoing chief executive of the Maritime Industry Association of South Africa, Vanessa Davidson has been appointed as the South African International Maritime Institute's deputy CEO. Davidson will be taking charge of strategic projects and her tasks will include liaising with all the government departments and organisations involved in the oceans economy in order to provide a link between government policy-makers and the maritime industry.

Davidson had worked as the chief executive of MIASA for the past five years.
