Matshelane Mamabolo wins Soccer Writer of the Year award for third time
A graduate from The Star's cadet school, class of '96, has become the first journalist to win the Castle Premiership Soccer Writer of the Year award three times. Matshelane Mamabolo, soccer writer for The Star, Saturday Star and Sunday Independent, walked off with the accolade at the Premiership end-of-season awards last week, adding to his previous victories in the 1998/99 and 2000/01 seasons.
