Facebook outlines draft charter on content regulation

Following Mark Zuckerberg's plan to regulate content on Facebook, the social network has unveiled a draft charter outlining exactly how this will be done. A statement - published by Nick Clegg, Facebook's VP of global affairs and communications - says that the company wants to deliver independent judgment, be transparent and respect privacy.

The social network identified key decisions that still need to be made, like the number of members, length of terms and how cases are selected. Over the next six months, it intends on resolving these decisions through a series of workshops around the world - where it will convene experts and organisations that work on a range of issues such as free expression, technology and democracy, procedural fairness and human rights.
