MFSA gets go-ahead for promotional competitions
The Marketing Federation of SA (MFSA) has obtained confirmation from the Lotteries Board that regulations promulgated in June 2002, which significantly threatened the use of promotional competitions for marketing, will not be enforced. The Lotteries Board acknowledged that the regulations were problematic in that they were published in terms of Section 54 of the Lotteries Act - which was not properly promulgated and was subsequently amended by the Lotteries Amendment Act.
