The launch of the free iPhone application offering sports fans real-time access to the latest sports news and scores, no matter where they are has proved popular. Launched by SuperSport on the weekend, according to its spokesperson, it started in the mid-40s and moved to position number 2 by the morning of Monday 1 March 210 and position 1 by the afternoon. The channel is also planning apps for other mobile operating systems like OVI and Android. The application is available free from the iTunes store and from the website www.supersport.com.
