Sanef invites journalists to apply for third round of media relief fund

The South African National Editors' Forum (Sanef) is calling on all journalists, freelancers, contract journalists, reporters, photographers and production staff in multimedia, print and broadcast media struggling as a result of the Covid-19 crisis to submit their applications for the third round of the media relief fund.

Sanef raised a total of R4 870 067 from various companies and concerned individuals and donated R5,000 each to 249 journalists in the first and second rounds, totaling R1,245,000. The third round is also open to those who received funding in the first and second rounds but are still unemployed. The deadline for applications is 8 January 2021.
