AFP to assist European Commission in identifying, tackling fake news
AFP has been included in the High-Level Group on Fake News and Online Disinformation that will assist the European Commission in identifying and tackling fake news. AFP will be represented by its deputy global editor-in-chief and social networks editor Grégoire Lemarchand.
The task force comprises 39 members, which include representatives of civil society, European news organisations, academics; and technology companies such as Facebook, Twitter and Google. The expert group in Brussels for the first time on Monday and will present its recommendations later in the year.
