New anti-smoking campaign in the works
Health department spokesman Harry Mchunu says that one of the proposed amendments to the Tobacco Act is the introduction of graphic advertisements on cigarette packets depicting diseased organs and blackened teeth. The Cancer Association has welcomed the move but said that its effectiveness would have to be tested.
