Sanlam sponsors school soccer
In a new sponsorship partnership, the Sanlam Group has significantly invested in the development of school soccer in South Africa. It has teamed up with the Motsepe Foundation (founded by prominent executive Patrice Motsepe) and the Sanlam Ubuntu Botho Community Development Trust to create a five-year, R30 million sponsorship deal. Reputedly, the largest South African schools soccer tournament, the Sanlam Kay Motsepe Schools Cup will have a first place prize of R1 million.
