Popular Mechanics - it's a head thing
After three years, the mix of science, technology and future shock that makes Popular Mechanics unique has been recognised with a top industry award. At Thursday night's Sappi Pica Awards ceremony, Popular Mechanics scooped industry heavyweights such as FHM, Men's Health and GQ to take the title of Best Consumer Men's Magazine. The judges commented: "This is a men's magazine that truly offers something different. It is in a class of its own, providing a great read even if you're not a DIY fanatic or science geek. Popular Mechanics is a harder challenge to edit and publish than its competitors and has a smaller target market, yet achieves well in all areas."
