E.tv and Weet-Bix launch angels walking for cancer

The fourth annual Angels walking for cancer campaign gained fresh momentum when it was launched at the Southern Sun hotel in Hyde Park. The campaign, which is in its fourth year, is an initiative aimed at raising awareness and funds for cancer. E.tv joined forces with Weet-Bix to launch the 2011 campaign. This year's campaign took place in both Johannesburg and Cape Town. The fundraising initiative, comprised a 4km fun walk with each venue set up with a Healthy Living Village where the public could get information about cancer and have their important queries answered. Actors and presenters from across all e.tv programs are serving as campaign ambassadors and increasing awareness about the campaign. The funds raised in this year's campaign will be used to buy broviacs to supply to children's oncology wards in government hospitals.
