Design the legend of the tiger
Onitsuka Tiger Design 2006 Competition has invited design and advertising students to interpret two popular sneakers in a totally South African style. While the students have creative freedom, the tiger stripes must remain prominent. The winner will receive a cash prize of R6000 and the runner-up R2000, in addition to a year's supply of sneakers. The competition is to run at various campuses across the country: Vega School of Advertising, AAA Cape Town, Cape Town University of Technology (design department), and Stellenbosch University (arts and design departments).
