New ICASA CEO apppointed

Jackie Manche, the deputy director-general in charge of systems and capacity building in the department of provincial and local government, would become chief executive of the Independent Communications Authority of SA (Icasa) on July 1, Icasa chairman Mandla Langa, whose term expires next year, told parliament's ad hoc committee on communications. He said Manche would greatly strengthen Icasa's management team after the departure earlier this year of Snakes Nyoka, the previous chief executive. Source: The Star Business Report
