New ASA head of legal and regulatory affairs

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) of South Africa recently appointed Fred Makgato as head of legal and regulatory affairs. Makgato is an admitted attorney of the high court and holds a B. Proc. Law degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, as well as an advanced banking diploma from the University of Johannesburg. Prior to joining the advertising watchdog, he was the MD of a private law firm and a practicing attorney.
