Jozi's Krew launch
Krew launched to the Johannesburg media on Thursday 17th August at Q.ba in Bryanston. OMD, Mindshare, British Airways, SuperSport, and EMI Music were among the 120 strong guests eager to learn more about the organization, product, and brand image. The presentation by publisher Tim Culley and editor Gavin Williams was thoroughly absorbed by everyone. As the drinks flowed and the sample magazines were handed out, there was a feeling of real excitement about a new magazine in the men's category. It's amazingly low price of R12.95 and its weekly frequency were the two issues that most impressed the onlookers. The tough Jo'burg crowd seemed to have been wooed over by the boldness of Krew, as it looks to shake up the publishing arena when it launches to a target market of 16-35 yr old guys at the end of October.
