Transparent paper-film-paper media available

Papersmith & Son has launched EnDURO Ice, a new generation of transparent print media, in South Africa, Botswana and Namibia. Similar in appearance to conventional transparency papers but being a paper-film-paper combination, it is described as offering higher durability and easier handling than traditional transparent papers.

This is supposed to result in easy printing with standard offset inks and normal drying procedure with no extra handling and can be converted easily, avoiding difficulties with many conventional transparent papers. It is claimed that there will be no whitened edges when folding, and die cutting is also supposed to be trouble-free.

Glueing should not cause cockling of the surface. Stitching, punching and laser printing are all feasible. It is supposed to be durable, long-lasting and tear-resistant.

It is available in a range of weights from 80 to 270 gsm ex-stock.
