    NSRI called out to rescue a balloon

    Independent On Line reports that the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) was told that a hang-glider had fallen into the sea off Logies Bay and been washed into the rocks, but when they investigated these reports, they found it was nothing more than a Mickey Mouse balloon.

    According to Independent On Line reports, the NSRI alerted Metro EMS and Metro Red Cross AMS rescue helicopter and sent a rescue craft to Logies Bay. They found no trace of a hang-glider, just the balloon. The NSRI has issued safety tips for people going to the sea over the festive season.
