D'Oré gets video, digital signage display

Boutique fashion and art store, D'Oré equipped its revamped flagship store in Sandton City with video display and digital signage technology to advance customer engagement and interaction.

Local display technology provider, PVision, in partnership with Harambe Technologies, a systems integrating company specialising in sales and installations of multimedia, surveillance and broadcasting, supplied the systems earlier this year.

More interactive

Harambe has installed two 2 x 2 video walls that will act as an interactive marketing and sales tool for the store.

"Our client required the installation of AV equipment accompanied by some form of digital signage for advertising and PVision had the perfect solution. It provided the display technology, which we installed to create the video walls consisting of 40-inch monitors and six 46-inch monitors," said Desmond Mashigoane, audiovisual project manager and installer at Harambe Technologies.

"There is a shift in the retail industry from static marketing messages towards interactivity because consumers need engagement with their favourite brands. The company is one locally poised to provide this technology," said PVision Director, David Ross.

Embracing display technology

Looking into the future of display technology, Ross added, "Although these technologies are mature and broadly available, many businesses that could benefit considerably from a more engaging and personal approach to marketing choose to invest in other platforms such as billboard or broadcast advertising."

"We are pleased to see brands which operate in a retail setting, such as D'Oré, embracing display technology and we are proud of our partnership with Harambe to complete this project," he concludes.
