"The store is an important innovation for the company and reflects the growing interest in premium chocolate world-wide," says Nicolas Thoenen, CEO of the fully-fledged Lindt & Sprüngli subsidiary in South Africa.
The new store is more than twice its original size and reveals a fresh new look, introducing rich colour schemes, soft lighting, golden facades and wooden elements, complementing the Cape Quarter's Afro-European atmosphere and style.
New appealing retail components include chocolates, ice cream (sold exclusively) and chocolate-related merchandise from branded recipe books to fondue sets and an assortment of chocolate-specific equipment.
Along with the retail components, the store presents chocolate-lovers with the opportunity to learn more about the fascinating world of chocolate and make their own creations under the expert guidance of the company's master chocolatiers.
With a wide-selection of courses on offer, chocolate-lovers are able to create, play and explore the many techniques during workshops, evening workshops and shorter workshops offered as social get-togethers for groups and friends.
