The issue features an interview with Robert Wong, creative director of Google Creative Lab and one of the speakers at Design Indaba 2011 (DI2011). Known for his creative input on other brands such as Starbucks, Harley Davidson, Jack Daniels, ESPN and MTV, Wong's job description is 'Reminding the world what they love about Google' and he points out that 'love' is the crucial part.

"For some people, it has become a utility, that it's almost like breathing air, you can take it for granted. But when you stop and think about all the ways it makes our lives easier and the world better, it's actually mind blowing," comments Wong.

Another recently announced speaker is Jens Martin Skibsted, founding partner of Skibsted Ideation, KiBiSi and Biomega, considered one of most inspiring and creative Danish designers and design thinkers, whose work has been accredited worldwide.

Skibted is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, Global Agenda Council on Design member and was awarded the 40 Under 40 Design Award 2010. In 2009, he co-founded the product design super-group KiBiSi with Lars Holme Larsen and Bjarke Ingels.

In the fertile overlap between design, architecture and ideation, the group seeks to spawn a new breed of idea driven design. To KiBiSi, ideas and products are intrinsically tied - the product should be the carrier of its brand idea rather than some designer's form and formula.

This quarter's magazine is available now.
