Promotion marketing awards deadline extended

The entry deadline for the inaugural South African Promotion Marketing Awards (Awards (SAPMA Leopard Awards) has been extended until 25 May 2007, due to a request for more time from entrants. The awards were launched in March this year in conjunction with the MAA Globe Awards.

Rachelle Bricout, SAPMA partner, says “We have had a great response to the SAPMA Awards; however, everyone felt the deadline was difficult due to all the public holidays and short weeks in April. After repeated requests, we thought it made sense to extend the date to 25 May to allow everyone a fair chance of submitting their entries on time.”

There are 16 categories for entry and this includes an opportunity for clients to enter their marketing and advertising agencies as well. Additionally, there is a category for smaller agencies with budgets under R350 000 to enter.

The MAA Globes has been in existence since 2000 and is reported to have become the industry’s leading international recognition programme for the world’s most outstanding marketing campaigns. It is the only competition of its kind. Winners in South Africa will be automatically entered into the MAA Globes, giving them immediate international exposure.
