Flamenco Fusion Performing Arts, formerly the Spanish Flamenco Institute, was established in 1996 in Gauteng by internationally acclaimed dancer and choreographer Antonio del Castillo and La Tanya.

In 2010 it expanded to Cape Town where it amalgamated with the established academy of Peter Agulhas and Margarita.

Today it consists of dance academies in Johannesburg and Cape Town, a professional performing company and a youth ensemble formed with the dance students of Zonnebloem Nest High School.
