New appointments at NH The Lord Charles

The landmark Somerset West hotel, NH The Lord Charles has boosted its proficient staff contingent with a line-up of new appointments.

Experienced and innovative Sue van Diggele will head NH The Lord Charles and NH Plettenberg Bay's marketing divisions as new Group Marketing and Sales Manager, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge of the hospitality trade. Van Diggele has spent the past four years honing her skills in this competitive industry and will strengthen the hotel's existing presence in the tourism market.

Dietmar Faes is the new signature Sous Chef at the helm of the La Vigna restaurant. His youthful exuberance and considerable experience gained over six years at some of Cape Town's leading 5-star hotels allows this young Sous Chef to offer hotel guests and locals in the Helderberg area a superb dining experience.

Newly appointed Financial Manager in charge of NH The Lord Charles and NH Plettenberg Bay finances is Mike de Villiers. Previously responsible for managing and overseeing the money business at The Caledon Casino, Hotel & Spa, De Villiers has acquired widespread skills in his field of expertise and thoroughly enjoys working in the hospitality environment.

As a sought-after venue for business conferences, banquets and incentive functions, the appointment of Antonie Pitout as Conference and Banqueting Manager is one of the hotel's key recruitments. Antonie, an enthusiastic team player who believes that organisational skills are crucial in the success of his job, will take charge of the excellent facilities that cater for eight to 800 delegates, from private meetings to conferences.

Stepping into the role of Marketing and Events Co-ordinator is young and dynamic Natalie Kensley. Kensley received her training at Varsity College after which she spent three years at Spier Wine Estate and The Village at Spier Conference Hotel gaining invaluable experience in this demanding environment.

Having worked within the travel and hospitality industry for seven years prior to her appointment at NH The Lord Charles, Assistant Front Office Manager Catherine Schulze has extensive knowledge of the smooth operation of a front office department. Schulze has been in charge of many of the Cape's finest establishments and enthusiastically takes up her position at the leading Helderberg property.
