Sponsorship of tik awareness CD

Tik (Methampethamine) is a fast-growing drug problem that is not restricted to race or income class. The effect of this drug on individuals, families, communities and even employers is extremely destructive.

You might think that this does not affect you, as you do not use tik, do not know a tik user or that it has not influenced your life. That is the common mistake made by individuals in today's society. Between 1993 and 1995, deaths due to meth rose 125 percent. Between 1996 and 1997, meth-related emergency room visits doubled. Use by 12 to 17-year-olds has increased dramatically in the past few years. (www.freevibe.com).

As part of our involvement in the 2007 DA leadership programme, we identified the need for an awareness campaign to address the problem of tik usage. This campaign aims to educate the public about its dangers, symptoms and effects. To ensure the awareness project has a sustainable impact, we plan to establish community support groups. Should the outcomes of this campaign be successful, the potential and public interest exists for this project to be implemented nationally.

We would greatly appreciate it if your company would consider making services and or practical support available to this awareness programme. Such involvement would be an admirable illustration of your company's sense of social responsibility. We are fully aware that most companies have already set out their budgets for 2007, yet we require not money necessarily, but services.

Companies offering sponsorship will receive publicity on the items they sponsor where it is possible. Publicity will also be given to sponsors on our website which is being set up and sponsored by SL Designs.
