On Saturday, 5 April, Fives Futbol and the British High Commission, the HMS Portland British Naval Ship held a community outreach event while docked at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.

A record crowd of over 9,000 sisters, misters, kids and dogs flooded the streets of Kyalami in a firm protest against the abuse of South African women and children at the 1st for Women and Jacaranda FM Sisters with Blisters walk.

At a charity luncheon and auction held on board MSC Opera in Cape Town Monday, 11 November 2013, MSC Cruises helped raise over R430 000 for the Ukuthemba Foundation, a local organisation which provides safe and loving home environments for vulnerable and abandoned children.
