On 12 December, international denim brand G-Star RAW hosted their first RAW Night in Africa, with an eclectic mix of performance, art, music, fashion and film.

A Tribute to Madiba was composed by South African musician Dr Cyril Harrisberg for Madiba after he was hospitalised, to celebrate his life and to salute the statesmen.

The first fruit of p e t’s labour is the single In The Dark. The electro-pop track is disco with depth, while retaining the pop sensibilities and integrity that Sinead de la Querra has mastered. Its accompanying video was directed by film, advert and music video director Jono Hall.

The FedGroup Colour Me Crazy 5km Run & Colour Festival took place recently on Saturday the 26th of October on a glorious summer's day at the West Coast Ostrich Ranch in Cape Town.

Bittereinder have released the music video for their new single, Die Slagting (The Slaughter), which is the third official single from their second album, “Die Dinkdansmasjien”, released in November 2012. The previous two singles were Kwaad Naas and the title track of the album. Die Slagting is Bittereinder’s second Afrikaans-Dutch rap collaboration with The Netherlands-based rapper, Tim Beumers.

Shadow Of The Earth is the second offering in terms of music videos from this brother-and-sister duo (comprising Louis and Magdalene Minnaar) and comes from their second EP, “Safe & Sound”, which was released earlier this year.

The Kaya FM Family Day held at Emerald Casino and Resort was a huge success amongst listeners.

The Joburg City Festival took place from 25 to 31 August, comprising a series of events all over the city - from fashion and art to music, theatre, dance, film, food, comedy, architecture, heritage, sport, adventure and party.
