To commemorate the 67 years of Mandela's life spent fighting for equality, The SASKO team joined many South Africans on Monday 18 July 2016 in donating 67 minutes of their time to help others.
The SASKO team mobilised their head office and all 12 of their bakeries across the country with one purpose in mind: To yield their butter knives while making sandwiches and share the goodness in honour of Nelson Mandela. The bakeries spent the morning spreading joy with the SASKO bread truck delivering lunch, on what also marked day one of the new term at primary schools - where poverty and hunger is still a big problem in education.
More than 16,000 sandwiches were distributed from 21 SASKO depots around the country and participating bakeries delivered to Early Childhood Development Centres and Churches in their surrounding communities....

In September 2015, SASKO launched its SASKO Siyasizana Daycare Project to assist daycares in Tembisa in receiving much-needed items for their facilities.
