
Seventh Aluta Film Festival in Kimberley
The Aluta Film Festival, being held at the Mayibuye Arts Centre in Galeshewe, Kimberley, 22-28 February 2010, is a meeting place for filmmakers, film industry stakeholders, government and the broader Northern Cape community. It aims to develop a viable film industry in the Northern Cape by bringing the best of African cinema from across the world. One of the expected films is Children of Fire: the movie. The Northern Cape Provincial Department of Arts and Culture, the Mayibuye Arts Centre, the Northern Cape Tourism Authority (NCTA) and BushCoffee support the event.
