Three Emmy nominations for SA
Two South African TV productions have reached the finals for the 35th International Emmy Awards – Sorted, the SABC3 comedy series produced by T.O.M. Pictures, and SABC1 drama series Home Affairs produced by Penguin Film – in the best comedy and drama series categories. Brenda Nxgoli, who plays the part of Vuyo in Home Affairs, has also been nominated for best actress. The competition has had three rounds of judging over a period of six months, with participation from over 500 judges in 35 countries. The nominations have spanned over 16 countries, with a record seven nominations for Brazil, four for Japan and three for South Africa.
