National Geographic Channel along with several role players in the film and television industry have joined forced forces to create a global event series on the subject of Mars. MARS, the six-part series will premiere in 171 countries in 45 languages, this month, and will showcase innovative storytelling with a combination of scripted drama, visual effects and documentary sequences on the quest to colonise the red planet.
National Geographic will expand the MARS storytelling with a six-part digital companion prequel series, an extensive digital virtual-reality experience at www.MakeMarsHome.com. MARS is the November cover story of National Geographic magazine and will be featured in a standalone book, MARS: Our Future on the Red Planet in addition to ongoing MARS coverage on nationalgeographic.com.
