WRSA acknowledges the efforts of SA's wildlife ranchers

The Wildlife Ranching South Africa (WRSA) presented Warrick Barnard from Woody Cape Wildlife in the Eastern Cape with the Southern Africa Rancher of the Year Award 2017 at its annual conference, which was recently held at the Protea Hotel Ranch Resort. The award is an acknowledgement of a rancher's efforts in ensuring the sustainability of the South African wildlife industry.

Other awards included the Biodiversity and Social Responsibility Award that was awarded to Johan Bouwer from Rupert Nature Reserve. The Green Economy Award went to Hannes du Plessis host and professional hunter of Bergzicht Game Lodge in Windhoek, Namibia, while Martin Schoeman from Sangoma Safaris received the Game Breeder Award.
