East Coast DJ cleared of hate speech
The Broadcasting Complaints Commission has ruled that comments made on air by East Coast DJ, Daryl Ilbury, about the Sri Lankan cricket team during the World Cup, did not constitute hate speech. The commission further ruled that the disciplinary action taken by East Coast Radio at the time, and the presenter's public apology, had been appropriate.
