'Loeries' in the pink

Look out for the 'Pink Loeries' - the annual gathering of the Knysna gay Mardi Gras, 25-28 May 2006 - this year in its fifth year, with the catchy official slogan: 'Hey! Who's your moffie!' or 'Hey! Wie's jou moffie!' ...Genuine. What is unique is that what with gay marriages expected to be legalized by year-end, many gay couples will be getting engaged, according to the organizers, who promise "...hundreds of same sex engagements all over town - even in Plettenberg Bay(!) This can be seen as an expression from the gay community of their feelings towards our government's decision to make same sex marriages legal".
