Cape Town scoops major awards

Cape Town as the city has scooped two major accolades: The 2015-16 Telegraph Travel Awards chose Cape Town as Best City (for the fourth year running!) and, in Condé Nast's Reader's Choice Awards, Cape Town took the honour as the number one food city in the world.

The Telegraph Travel Awards are voted for by 75 000 readers, and, not only was the Mother City voted the best destination in the world, but South Africa came third in the Best Country segment. Vancouver and Venice took second and third place respectively in the Best City category.

Condé Nast noted the variety of food offerings Cape Town has, from fish and chips at Kalky's in Kalk Bay to ultra-modern fusion at the Pot Luck Club.
