FIFA.com fan section goes Web 2.0
FIFA.com relaunched its Fan Fest section yesterday, Thursday, 11 December 2008. The new section, which is now called the ‘FIFA.com Club' (www.fifa.com/theclub), is another step forward for FIFA's official website in the arena of Web 2.0. Members are able to network in a simple manner from their own profile, as well as personalise a number of key website features and receive all their activity information in one place. In the past, Fan Fest was a successful and popular area that provided a platform for thousands of football fans to communicate and challenge one another to a variety of virtual games for the chance to win exclusive prizes, leading to a massive amount of user-generated content.
